Editorial policy

Fresh Community Report aims to make community-life subjects clear, fair and useful to read. Our editorial decisions are separate from any commercial relationship, and we correct the record when we find an error.

Accuracy and clarity

We work to present information in context, distinguish general explanation from opinion and avoid claims stronger than the available basis allows. We review wording for accuracy and clarity before publication. Readers who spot a factual error or a confusing passage can contact us with the relevant article and detail so it can be assessed.

Corrections

When a published item contains a material error, we correct it and make the change clear where appropriate. The wording of a correction depends on the nature of the error; we do not quietly preserve a claim we know to be wrong. Questions about accuracy are welcome through the Contact page.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial coverage is not determined by a partner. Paid placements, sponsored material and other partner content are labelled clearly so readers can distinguish them from independent editorial work. A commercial relationship does not guarantee favourable coverage, and editorial decisions remain separate.

Illustrations and generated images

Some illustrations may be AI-generated. We identify generated illustrations where appropriate and do not present an illustrative image as documentary evidence. Images should support a story without giving readers a misleading impression of a real person, place or event.
